With all of the news about more doctors being driven into bankruptcy, doctors going broke, and Obamacare’s negative effect on the finances of doctors and other healthcare professionals, is it any wonder that people are talking about bankruptcies for doctors and healthcare providers?
With that in mind, I will be part of a panel addressing the subject of Medical Issues in Bankruptcy at the Central California Bankruptcy Institute on September 19, 2014. There are a lot of unique issues to bankruptcy for healthcare providers, including the following:
- What do you do with the medical records?
- What about patient abandonment?
- What should the doctor do before filing bankruptcy?
